S. SARGSYAN: "IT’S TIME FOR ‘AHEAD ARMENIA’"

"I promised you victories and we have won. I promise new victories and
we will win," Armenian Prime Minister and newly elected President
Serzh Sargsyan told a rally of thousands today at the Republic
Square. In his words, he will do everything to fight poverty, evil
and indifference. "We witness division of the society. We witness
aggressive groupings who try to achieve their aim by all means. We
will defeat this division as well," Serzh Sargsyan mentioned.
In Sargsyan’s words the elections showed that the time for "Ahead
Armenia!" has come. It is time for hard work and fight against the
evil in life.
"I assure you that the arms of democracy have not faded up in our
country. It has not faded up because only the few had the courage to
use it. It has not faded up because democracy means to look into the
eyes of people without fear," Serzh Sargsyan said.
In his words, one of the aims he pursues is to attract all constructive
and basic forces in favor of the development of Armenia. The newly
elected president mentioned that this victory is the starting point
for other victories.
"I swear that I will do everything to justify your trust and fairly
stand in front of you. I assure you that you will not regret that
you have voted for Serzh Sargsyan," he said.
