International conference devoted to 20th anniversary of massacre of
Armenians in Azerbaijani town of Sumgait

ArmInfo. International conference ‘Tolerance and Xenophobia in the
South Caucasus’ will take place in Yerevan on February 25. The event is
timed to the 20th anniversary of the massacre of Armenians in the
Azerbaijani town of Sumgait.

Director of Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan will make a
welcoming speech. Armenian Parliamentary Speaker Tigran Torosyan,
Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan, Ombudsman Arman Haroutunyan,
President of Armenian National Academy of Sciences Radik Martirosyan,
activist of Karabakh movement Zory Balayan will attend the event.
