ArmInfo. , – the leader of the National Democrats Bloc party Arshak
Sadoyan said at the press-conference in the Tesaket club today.

He also added that the party headed by him is going to support
candidacy of the leader of the National and Democratic Union Vazgen
Manukyan, as the latter has real chances to win. For this reason six
political parties of the country unified in one headed by Vazgen
Manukyan. Sadoyan thinks that the forthcoming presidential election
will hardly become the last ones over the next five years. He also
recalled that in 1996 Manukyan gained a victory over Levon
Ter-Petrosyan but he did not go through thick and thin as it would
contradict democracy principles. Sadoyan thinks that today’s actions of
the authorities for the victory of their candidate is an attempt to
arouse fair in the people.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
