Armenian community of Lvov city of Ukraine wants renaming city
Aryuts, APA reports.

Parliamentarian of Lvov city Council Vardkez Arzumanyan said while
interviewed by lragir.am website that Armenian community intends to
raise issue on renaming the city.
Parliamentarian said that they will appeal to city administration for
renaming city on the behalf of 6 thousand Armenians living here.
Arzumanyan also said that the memory of Armenians who laid foundation
of the city, who contribute to the development of Lvov will be
perpetuated by renaming the city.
`New name of the city is well sounded both in Armenian and Ukrainian.
Moreover, this step will strengthen friendship relations between the
two nations,’ he said.
Parliamentarian also added that head of Ukrainian Eparchy of Armenian
Apostle Church archbishop Gregoris (Bunyadyan) and Armenian
ambassador to Ukraine Armen Khachatryan said that they will do their
best for realization of this issue.
