YEREVAN, JANUARY 25, ARMENPRESS: Armenia’s under-20
ice hockey team beat Bulgaria 11-2 in the last seventh

to win the third place of the division.
Armenians celebrated four wins and lost three
games. New Zealand’s under 20’s caused a big upset by
beating Serbia 5 – 4 in the last game to win the
division three Gold medal.
It’s the first time the under 20s of New Zealand
have won Gold at the International Ice Hockey World
Championships but it’s the second gold in two years
for the New Zealand Federation with the senior men
winning their division in Ireland last year.
After big wins over Bulgaria, Turkey and Armenia,
and a 7-2 win over Australia, New Zealand has also

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
