On January 25, Armenian soldier Asatryan Ambarsum Mnatsakanovich,
24, captivated on August 24, 2007, by Azerbaijani soldiers in troops’
frontline in the territory of the Tartar region, was freed in the Bala
Jafarly village of the Gazakh region, Azerbaijan’s State Commission
on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons reported.

Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Crescent
mediated the release process, led by head of the Commission’s working
group Firidun Sadigov.
