HIS HOLINESS ARAM I APPRECIATES THE SERVICE OF
DR. CORINNE HENCHOZ TO ARMENOFAS
During a reception organized in honor of Dr. Corinne in Lausanne
Switzerland, Ms Teny Simonian the vice president of ARMENOFAS conveyed the
great appreciation of His Holiness Aram I to Dr. Corinne for her many year
of service to ARMENOFAS as the president of this humanitarian fund. This
fund operates from Switzerland supervised by a special committee in which
the Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia and the protestant churches and the
Prelacy of Greece have their representatives. Here under the text in French
of the speech made by Ms Teny Simonian:
"J’ai l’honneur de vous transmettre les salutations et les profonds
sentiments d’appréciation des S. S. Aram I de l’Eglise Arménienne Orthodoxe,
Catholicossat de Cilicie au Liban
La Fondation ARMENOFAS est l’issu de l’engagement du peuple suisse envers le
peuple arménien pendant le génocide et surtout après quand les survivants s’installaient
dans leur pays adoptif au Moyen Orient. La présence aujourd’hui d’une
diaspora arménienne bien organisée partout dans le monde témoigne d’un coté
la renaissance et la volonté de vivre des arméniens, et d’autre coté la
solidarité de certains peuples et surtout des Suisses pour la cause
arménienne. Le comité de la fondation rassemble les représentants de la
Fondation a travers EPER, et les représentants du Catholicossat de Cilicie.
La Fondation ARMENOFAS est aujourd’hui le symbole d’une telle solidarité.
Pour S.S. Aram I, ce rassemblement pour honorer le départ de Dr. Corinne
Henchoz de l’Entraide Protestante Suisse est une occasion pour remercier
Corinne pour son dévouement et son professionnalisme pendant sa présidence
du comité d’ARMENOFAS.
S.S. Aram I a connu deux Présidents du comité ARMENOFAS : Le Pasteur Rudolf
Renfer et Dr. Corinne Henchoz. Ses deux personnes avec leur charisme
différent ont rappelé aux Arméniennes de la diaspora et ceux de la Grèce l’amour
de leur peuple, et ont manifesté leur amour pour l’église et la culture
arménienne.
En transmettant ses voux a Corinne pour son nouveau défi, Catholicos Aram I
salue les églises membres d’EPER, son comité de direction et son
représentant au sein du comité ARMENOFAS le Maître François Payot, en
souhaitant que la coopération basée sur la solidarité et le respect mutuel
continue."
