32 COMMUNITIES WILL ELECT MAYORS THIS YEAR

Local elections will be held in 32 villages this year. According
to the chair of the Central Election Commission Sergey Nasibyan,
on March 2 three communities in Kashatagh will vote.
According to Sergey Nasibyan, in February they will start training
of divisional commissions. "Afterwards we will visit each region in
turn for extension," said the head of the CEC. The target will be
the shortcomings and breaches reported during the previous elections.
Sergey Nasibyan says there are shortcomings in divisional commissions
because they were formed a year ago. He says by the next national
election the commissions will have well-trained members with
corresponding certificates. Sergey Nasibyan also said in the first
half of this year the CEC will propose amendments to the Election Code.
