/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry
Medvedev requested incumbent President Vladimir Putin to assume
premiership if he wins the presidential race in March 2008.

"Voicing readiness to run for President, I request him [Putin]
to head the government of Russia after election of new President,"
Mr Medvedev said, RIA Novosti reports.
