RA HIGH-RANKING OFFICIALS TO HENCEFORTH MAKE WORKING JOURNEYS BY A-319 AIRPLANE

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 4, NOYAN TAPAN. Armenia has lately obtained an
"Airbus" A-319 brand airplane, which is envisaged to be operated
for representative purposes instead of Tu-134 produced in 1977,
which was used before.

According to the information provided to Noyan Tapan by the RA
President’s Press Office, the President of the Republic of Armenia,
will be the main user of the airplane, it will also be used, in case
of necessity, by the delegations headed by other RA high-ranking
officials when leaving abroad.

According to the same source, A-319 was bought for 45 million
U.S. dollars in one of the eastern aviation markets. 15 million
U.S. dollars out of the above-mentioned sum was paid by Armenian
benefactors, for the payment of the rest of the sum a credit has been
formulated with a ten-year redemption deadline. The airplane was
produced in 1988, its furnishings correspond to the representative
class and does not demand additional expanses.
