Russia’s Gazprombank buys 80% stake in Armenia’s Areximbank

MOSCOW Nov 30

Russia’s Gazprombank has closed a deal to buy a 80.09% stake in the
Armenian-Russian Export-Import Bank, or Areximbank, Gazprombank said
in a statement Friday.

The value of the deal wasn’t disclosed.

Gazprombank, the banking arm of Russia’s natural gas monopoly
Gazprom, owns a bank in Belarus and has a representative office in
China.
