RA Prime Minister Met With Foreign Journalists

RA PRIME MINISTER MET WITH FOREIGN JOURNALISTS

RA Prime Minister hosted the delegation of foreign journalists
representing different countries – Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia,
Lithuania, Moldova and China.

The journalists addressed a number of questions to RA Prime
Minister. These mainly referred to the current level of Armenia’s
relations with their countries, the perspectives of further deepening
and reinforcement of these relations, Armenia’s economy and the future
programs of the Armenian Government, the issue of exploitation of
the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline and Armenian-Iranian relations, the
cooperation of the Republic of Armenia with the European Union and
NATO, the process of the Karabakh conflict settlement and the militant
statements of Azerbaijan.

Expressing his opinion on Azeri Defense Minister’s statement on the
100% probability of war, PM Serge Sargsyan reconfirmed Armenia’s
position, saying the Karabakh conflict has no military solution. The
Prime Minister assured that the Armed Forces of the Republic of
Armenia are always ready to defend the borders of out country and
the Azerbaijani side should take into consideration that in case of
preferring the military solution of the issue it will have to solve
more complex problems than today.

The questions of foreign journalists also referred to the forthcoming
presidential elections in Armenia.

At the end of the meeting Serge Sargsyan wished success to the
journalists, expressing hope that they will leave Armenia with best
impressions about our people and country.
