"Knowledge on culture must be cultivated in children starting from
kindergarten," director of N4 kindergarten of Vanadzor and professors
of Vanadzor State Pedagogical University, Jenia Paturyan, told
Panorama.am. In her words, the kindergartens have special curriculum
requiring that children get acquainted with the monuments of the
Armenian culture, different people of art, and all these, within the
framework of the abilities.

Four year old children in the kindergarten are assigned to paint
and prepare their houses from different materials. Five years
old are requested to picture their kindergarten and six years old
are asked to create pictures of their town. "The children are most
attentive on talks about art and they do their assignments with great
delight. As they start, so they will continue. Everything starts
from the kindergarten although most teachers would not agree with
this statement," Paturyan said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
