Within the frames of his visit to Armenia Chief of the Hellenic Army
General Staff General Dimitrios Grapsas visited today the Memorial to
the victims of the Armenian genocide. He was accompanied by Commander
of General Headquarters of Armenian Armed forces, Colonel-General
Seyran Ohanyan, representatives of the Armenian Defence Ministry and
members of the Greek delegation.

General Grapsas laid a wreath to the eternal light and visited the
Museum of the Armenian genocide, where he left a note in the visitors’
book. In a short talk with journalists Dimitrios Grapsas thanked
the Armenian party for the given opportunity to join his voice to
thousands of Armenians and say "no" to genocide. ‘We hope that such
events will not happen in future’, – the General said and emphasized
the necessity of timely recognition of the Armenian genocide.
