Yerevan, 10 October: Armenian Defence Minister Mikayel Harutyunyan
and his Romanian counterpart Teodor Melescanu signed a bilateral
military cooperation agreement for 2008 in Yerevan today.

The Armenian Defence Ministry press service reported that the parties
discussed military and military-technical cooperation between the two
countries at today’s meeting, pointing to possibilities for developing
cooperation, particularly in military education.

The Armenian and Romanian defence ministers also discussed issues
related to security in the Black Sea region and the most recent
developments in the Karabakh conflict settlement.
