According to the National Archive director Amatuni Virabian, only
half million of 300 million documents of the archive are digitalized
yet. Digitalization of the documents and films is his number one
issue and in order to solve it he negotiates with French and German
companies, and also sets up a project that will be submitted for
consideration of the government.

"Until the end of this year 18 films, shot in "Hayfilm" movie studio,
will be brought from Moscow", announced Amatuni Virabian at the
National Press Club.

"The long-lasting negotiations ended and our Russian colleagues didn’t
sell, but presented those films to our National Archive", he added.

"In the coming future the National Archive will have branches in
Gyumri, Edzmiatsin and other towns", informed the director of the
National Archive

He also announced that on October 9 a chronicle-documentary exhibition
titled "At the front of two World Wars" would start in the National
Archive.
