Ter-Petrosyan Will Make Many More Speeches

TER-PETROSYAN WILL MAKE MANY MORE SPEECHES

It would be desirable if the head of state were more reserved.

Anyway, all they have to show off they will be showing off without
asking for our opinion. "However, it is evident that there is a
question in Armenia which may be left unanswered," Ararat Zurabyan
says. He also says it is important that after leaving office the
acting president stays in Armenia, and those who demanded it from
the first president demand the same from the second president.

"In addition, it would be desirable if he stays in Armenia. I think
Zori Balayan should state now that Kocharyan must stay in Armenia,
like before. I wish he stay in Armenia. But I would like to speak
about the aspirants, or the political process which will be underway.

Because I think Robert Kocharyan’s approach and his speech was such
as if he was going to be reelected. I think, however, the government
has another candidate who states in Moscow and not in Armenia to run
in the presidential election, we already heard that he will probably
be running in the election. It is natural because Moscow is close
to the heart of our government, and it is obvious that they make the
first statement there," Ararat Zurabyan says.

As to Robert Kocharyan’s statement that by returning to politics Levon
Ter-Petrosyan becomes an ordinary oppositionist, Ararat Zurabyan
thinks every normal person in Armenia should be opposition to the
authoritarian regime in the country.

"I think Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s outspoken supporters were ordinary
opposition for years on, and Ter-Petrosyan has no such inhibitions.

But when the ruler is speaking about an ordinary oppositionist, it
already shows that he is not an ordinary oppositionist because not
all the ordinary oppositionists make Robert Kocharyan suddenly speak
up," Ararat Zurabyan says. The head of the board of the All-Armenian
Movement says the government simply wants to make itself believe that
Ter-Petrosyan is an ordinary oppositionist but very soon everyone will
become convinced that he is not because Levon Ter-Petrosyan will be
making many more speeches on the political situation.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
