V. KHACHIKYAN: "REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE WILL WIN ON FIRST BALLOT"

"The candidate of the Republican party will win the presidency on
the first ballot," stated Vazken Khachikyan, head of the state social
services insurance fund and Republican party member.
In his opinion, this would not occur only if a major, unforeseen event
of some kind came to pass. "I come to this conclusion from my meetings
with the people, as well as our candidates capabilities. No one has had
such an enviable position has not happened in the past," he underlined.
Returning to the question of if the proposed 60% raise in pensions is
merely a pre-election promise, Khachikyan responded that this was in
fact a part of his party’s program, and the party is only following
up on this issue. "We, as opposed to Dashnaktsutyun, have presented
real numbers, and there is no pre-election promise taking place here,"
he said in closing.
