INCOMES OF ARMENIAN POPULATION INCREASE BY 26.9%, EXPENSES – BY 23.6% IN JANUARY-JULY 2007 ON SAME PERIOD OF LAST YEAR

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. Monetary incomes of Armenia’s
population made 1 trillion 41 billion 612.8 million drams (over 2 bln
941.7 mln USD), while monetary expenses – 1 trillion 2 billion 429.9
million drams in January-July 2007. According to the RA National
Statistical Service, the growth rates of these indices made 126.9%
and 123.6% respectively as compared with January-July 2006.

The real monetary incomes of the population (incomes less compulsory
payments, taking into account the changes in the consumer price
indices) grew by 20.9% in January-June 2007 on the same period of 2006.

The average monthly nominal salary exceeded 3.8fold the minimum salary
in June 2007 as compared with 4.3fold in 2006.
