Korean Ambassador Amazed With Armenian History

President Robert Kocharian today accepted the credentials of the new
ambassador from Korea, Lee Ku Hyung, who arrived from Moscow.

Congratulating the new ambassador, the Armenian president said that
Armenia rates highly the importance of good relations with Korea has
an important place in the realm of Asian politics.

Kocharian told of his satisfaction with the growing dynamic relations
of the two countries and their positive cooperation inside the
framework of international organizations. Taking into account recent
economic successes seen in Korea, the president said this could set
a good example to conquer the difficulties experienced in the region.

In turn, ambassador Hyung stated his amazement and respect for the
centuries old Armenian culture and history. He went on to say that
active cooperation with Armenia in these areas would be very beneficial
to Korea.
