AMERICAN COUNCILS, ANNOUNCES COMPETITION FOR JUNIOR FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Yerevan office of American Councils is organizing a competition within
the framework of junior faculty development program. Armenian education
ministry sources say the aim is to grant access to opportunities
of training in social sciences and humanities to the faculty of
the Armenian, NIS and some Eastern European higher educational
establishments. The deadline of the competition is August 24.

The fellows are expected to spend January through end of May, 2008
in the USA. The American Councils provides accommodation to the
program participants at U.S. host universities as well as provides
support during the stay in the USA. The program provides air tickets,
health insurance, scholarship (accommodation fees, daily costs, etc.),
funds for professional materials and the training.
