DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS ESTABLISHED BETWEEN ARMENIA AND BENIN

YEREVAN, AUGUST 3, NOYAN TAPAN. The ambassadors of Armenia and Benin
on August 2 signed a protocol on establishment of diplomatic relations
between Armenia and Benin at the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the
UN, NT was informed by the RA MFA Press and Information Department.

The declaration signed by the two countries states that striving
to strengthen friendly relations between Armenia and Benin and to
promote the mutually beneficial cooperation in various spheres,
being resolute to develop these relations by being guided by UN
regulations and international law principles, the two countries are
willing to develop relations based on mutual respect, sovereignty,
territorial integrity and non-intervention into internal affairs of
other countries.

Reference: Benin is situated in West Africa. It occupies an area of
112.62 thousand square km and has a population of 8 million. Benin
became independent from France on August 1, 1960.
