7.8% RISE IN PRICE FOR BAKED GOODS IN ARMENIA IN JUNE-JULY 2007

YEREVAN, August 3. /ARKA/. A 7.8% rise in the price for baked goods
was recorded in Armenia in June-July 2007.

Head of the RA Statistical Service Stepan Mnatsakanyan reported that
a 0.5% rise in the price for flour and grain was recorded in June
and a 0.4% in July. An 8.2% rise in the price of flour, a 10.89%
rise in the price for bread and a 19.3% rise in the price for grain
were recorded in June-July, 2007.

A 0.1%-2.4% rise in the price for baked goods was recorded in nine
cities, with the maximum rise recorded in Talin. A 0.1% fall in the
price for baked goods was recorded in Kapan, with no price changes
recorded in Gyumri.

A 4.2% price rise was recorded in January-July 2007 against
January-July 2006, with a 5.3% rise in prices for food products,
a 0.7% fall in the price for nonfood products and a 4.9% rise in the
price for services recorded.
