RA PARLIAMENT SPEAKER RECEIVED THE AMBASSADOR OF POLAND

July 23 Speaker of RA National Assembly Tigran Torosyan received
Tomaz Knotche, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
Poland to Armenia.

Mr. Knotche conveyed to Tigran Torosyan the congratulations of the
Polish Senate Marshal Bogdan Borusevicz on the occasion of holding
brilliant parliamentary elections and handed an invitation to pay an
official visit to Poland.

NA Speaker Tigran Torosyan thanked for the congratulations and the
invitation and emphasized the importance of Mr. Borusevicz’s recent
visit to Armenia and the fair and balanced approach he demonstrated
after his visit to the region. The Armenian Parliament Speaker noted
that in September Deputy Friendship Groups will be established in
the forth National Assembly, and assured that a Friendship Group with
the Parliament of Poland will be established by all means.

Emphasizing the high level of interparliamentary ties with the
Parliament of Poland, Mr. Torosyan attached importance to the necessity
of deepening the relations, particularly the investigation of Poland’s
experience in the field of European integration and organization of
parliamentary life. The Parliament Speaker also attached importance
to the cooperation in the framework of international organizations
and European development programs.

The Ambassador said it is important to develop interparliamentary
relations through establishment of ties between parliamentary
committees, as well.

Other issues of bilateral importance were discussed during the meeting.
