NKR CEC Ratifies Presidential Election Results

During the sitting of the NKR Central Electoral Commission on July
21 the results of the presidential elections were summed up and
ratified. Guided by Article 64.3 and 64.8 the CEC declared Bako
Sahakyan the President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.

The final results of the elections were announced during the sitting.

According to the voting lists, the total number of the enfranchised
voters in NKR was 92,114. 93,196 ballot papers were provided to
electoral commissions. The number of the unused, incorrectly filled
and returned ballot papers reached 21,913. The number of registered
voters was 71,286.

1,594 ballot papers were considered invalid. Armen Abgaryan got 867
votes, Vanya Avetisyan – 212, Hrant Melkumyan – 554, Masis Mailyan
8,734 and Bako Sahakyan received 59,326 votes.

The protocol was signed by all member of the CEC, following which
the Commission issued the decision about the election of the President.

At the end of the sitting the President of the Central electoral
Commission thanked all the organizations and individuals engaged in the
organization and conduct of the elections as well as the NKR people,
who actively participated in the voting.
