GAREGIN II: "THE NATIONAL SPIRIT WAKES UP AMONG THE ARMENIAN YOUTH AND
IT IS A GUARANTEE OF THE NATION’S PRESERVATION"

On July 11 in Mother Holy Edzmiatsin Catholicos of All Armenians
Garegin II received the representatives of "The challenges of the 21st
century and the Armenian youth" conference, which took place on July
9-10 and was organized by the World Armenian Congress (WAC).

The Deputy President of WAC Vladimir Aghayan presented the results of
the Conference during the meeting underlining not only the importance
of the reports’ themes, but also the practicality of the youth in the
working groups of the Conference.

The Catholicos welcomed the representatives of more than 40 Armenian
Youth Organizations of 25 different countries of the world
underscoring the role of the Armenian youth of the world in the
resolution of Armenian Issues.

He also mentioned that the challenges discussed in the Conference
would lead Armenia several decades, and that’s why those issues should
be solved by the unity of the nation and its efforts and the unity of
the spiritual sphere.

"The national spirit wakes up and it is the guarantee of the nation’s
preservation", His Holiness mentioned. He gave his blessing to the
young people saying, "May each of you become an honest citizen of our
country, reach heights in your spheres and be of use for the welfare
of the Armenian nation".
