POLITICAL COALITION AND COOPERATION AGREEMENTS

On June 6 in presence of RA President the Republican Party of Armenia,
in the person of Council Chairman, Prime Minister Serge Sargsian and
Prosperous Armenia party, in the person of Chairman Gagik Tsarukian
signed an agreement on forming a political coalition (with the
assistance of RA President, based on the results of Parliamentary
elections of Armenia on May 12, 2007) at the official residence of
RA President.

An agreement of cooperation was signed between the political coalition
and Armenian Revolutionary Federation.

The main aim of the political coalition is to provide effective
legislative and executive bodies and continuous development in the
country, informed the Press Office of the President.

The agreements are directed to carry out united projects of government
activities and also to confront efficiently the war-calls.

In the process of making decisions the political coalition will
involve the civil society, provide publicity and transparency of state
activities, implement effective mechanisms of government officials’
reports.

The sides of both agreements are obliged to pursue a united policy
in close collaboration with each other and with the President. They
are obliged to bend every effort to the effective realization of
government projects, provision of realization of arrangements in the
circles of the agreements.

The sides announced that the stable and secure development of
economy is a primary task of projects and politics of the country,
i.e. reduction of shady business, application of fairer income
allocation mechanisms, encouragement of export, more efficient
fight against corruption, complete conformity of legislation to the
constitutional amendments, provision of favorable conditions for
strengthening of civil society, finishing of amendments of state
service in order to form an honest and efficient system of government.

The agreements also define the formats of political coalition and
cooperation in the government system.
