ACT OF VANDALISM COMMITTED IN MOTHER CATHEDRAL OF HOLY ETCHMIADZIN

ETCHMIADZIN, MAY 24, NOYAN TAPAN. Early in the morning of May 24,
a man got on the Altar of Mother Cathedral of the Mother See of Holy
Etchmiadzin and started to throw about all sacrid things placed on
the Holy Table. NT was informed from reliable sources that clergymen
stopped this act of hooliganism and made the man get down from the
altar. They tried to find out the reasons for this act but the man
took to flight. According to some persons who were in the cathedral
at that time, this person lives in a village near Etchmiadzin and is
a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses sect.
