BAKU: Azerbaijani President Ends Visit In Egypt

AZERBAIJANI PRESIDENT ENDS VISIT IN EGYPT

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev ended his official visit in Egypt
yesterday, APA reports quoting Azertaj State Agency. Before this,
the President visited the residence of the League of Arab States in
Cairo and met with secretary general Emir Musa. They discussed the
cooperation between Azerbaijan and the League of Arab States and
prospects of expansion of the relations. They noted that Azerbaijan
is successfully cooperating with the League of Arab States, the
organization has embassies in seven member countries and intends to
open diplomatic representations in other countries in future.

Azerbaijani President met with the ambassadors of member states of
the League of Arab States. Speaking about the economic growth in
Azerbaijan the head of state invited businessmen of Egypt and other
Arab states to Azerbaijan.

The President said he is satisfied with the level of relations
between Azerbaijan and Arab states. Ilham Aliyev also spoke about
Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, its hard consequences
for our country and negotiations on the settlement of the problem.

The President thanked the members of the League of Arab States for
supporting Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.

Following this, Azerbaijani President held a briefing. The president
said that no nuclear researches are held in Azerbaijan, our country
is rich in oil-gas resources and can provide itself and its partners
for 100 years and will contribute to the energy security of the world.

Azerbaijani President yesterday met with Egyptian Minister of
International Cooperation and the Chairwoman of the Joint Commission
Faiza Abualnaga and chief of the Managing Board of Egypt’s MENA agency
and editor-in-chief Abdulla Hasan.

The President got acquainted with historical Mahammad Ali castle and
mosque and famous Egyptian museum.
