Fund Brazil affiliate.
The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund is committed to renovating the Nork Hospital
for Infectious Diseases starting from 2004. Since then, the first block of
the hospital has been refurbished, its roof renovated and a heating system
was installed.
In March, 2007 the boiler house of the hospital’s first block was officially
opened; its construction was co-funded by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund
Brazil affiliate, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and the Brazil
Ambassador to Armenia.
The Nork Hospital Director, Chief Specialist for infectious diseases Ara
Asoyan said, `Thanks to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund on-going support, the
hospital established in 1956 will be able to provide services in best
compliance with modern standards. This is essential since the Nork hospital
is the only hospital in the Republic dealing with infectious diseases. The
hospital attends as many as 5000 patients a year’.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
