Baku, 7 May: Statements by [Azerbaijani] President Ilham Aliyev and Foreign
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on the course of the Nagornyy Karabakh talks show
that the fate of Karabakh is facing a "serious threat", a statement by the
Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) has said.

The authors of the document believe that the authorities have again taken a
position which runs counter to national interests and that the negotiations
are proceeding in line with a scenario prepared by Armenians.

The statement calls on the authorities to "comprehend" their responsibility
before the nation, not to take part in "treachery" of national interests, to
immediately halt the negotiations and begin consultations with public and
political organizations of Azerbaijan.

The KLO believes that the military option is the only way of liberating
Karabakh.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
