"We are not afraid of match against Armenia", U-17 head coach Yashar
Vahabzade told APA-Sport.
The trainer is content with the draw of 1st Black Sea Games they are
to join in July in Turkey.
"It is not a first time we have faced Armenia. We played several
times and the results were always satisfactory. U-17 will try its
best to win over Armenia but it doesn’t mean we are going to focus
on this match only. We will play against Russia and Moldova squads
with same strength", he said.
The trainer stated the selection work will be finished by late
this month.
"We have time. We plan to finish selection works by May 20. 1st Black
Sea Games will be a part of preparation for European championship
qualifying we will join in autumn this year", he said.
Azeri U-17 will play against Armenia on July 5 in Giresun, Turkey.
Top two teams in Group A, Azeri squad has been drawn, will pass to
the semi-final.
