53 NGOs AND 6 INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS TO CONDUCT OBSERVER MISSION AT RA NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS

YEREVAN, MAY 2, NOYAN TAPAN. The deadline for accreditation of
observers for the upcoming parliamentary elections has expired on
May 2. Chairman of the RA Central Election Commission (CEC) Garegin
Azarian stated at the CEC sitting on the same day that 53 local NGOs
(a total of 13,202 observers) have been accredited for conducting the
observer mission. Besides, observers of 6 international organizations
have been accredited at the RA CEC. 52 observers will represent the
CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, 186 observers – the CIS Executive
Committee, 302 – the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and
Human Rights (ODIHR), 71 observers – the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly,
46 ones – the Parliamenatry Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE)
and 12 observers will represent the European Parliament.
