POWERFUL EARTHQUAKE IN TURKEY
Yerevan, February 9. ArmInfo. An earthquake of magnitude 5,1 happened
today at 1:22 AM by local time in the territory of Turkey in 35 km
to the south-east of Baskil town. The underground shock in epicenter
was of force 6-7. Ten aftershocks of magnitude 2,8 – 3,7 followed the
earthquake, The National Seismic Protection Service of Armenia told
ArmInfo. According to the preliminary data, 30 people are injured
and several buildings are damaged, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
