REGULAR SITTING OF ARMENIAN-INDIAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION HELD IN NEW DELHI

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 18, NOYAN TAPAN. The Armenian delegation headed by
the RA Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Bayburtian arrived in New Delhi on
January 18 to participate in the regular sitting of the Armenian-Indian
intergovernmemtal commission. The delegation had a meeting with the
Indian State Minister of Foreign Affairs E. Ahamed. The sides spoke
about the high-level relations between the two countries, their
comprehensive character, mutual trust and aspiration to develop
these relations.

A. Bayburtian expressed the RA government’s willingness to deepen
the cooperation through practical programs in various directions:
in political, trade, economic, educational, IT and agricultural
spheres. He noted the efficient cooperation of the two countries in
international organizations.

The Armenian deputy foreign minister also spoke about the involvement
of the Indian side in rural development programs in Armenia, the
foundation of the Indian IT Center in Yerevan, and issues of events
to be held on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of establishment
of diplomatic relations between Armenia and India.

According to the RA MFA Press ande Information Department. E. Ahamed
in his turn expressed the Indian government’s mutual striving to
strengthen and extend the relations with Armenia.
