YERVAND ZAKHARIAN: 15-20 FAMILIES DISSATISFIED WITH COMPENSATION GIVEN TO FORMER INHABITANTS OF SALE ZONES

YEREVAN, MAY 31, NOYAN TAPAN. The Yerevan Mayor’s Office executed
1400 contracts with former inhabitant families of the North avenue
and other building zones of the center of Yerevan on giving them
compensation for leaving the territory. As Yerevan Mayor Yervand
Zakharian informed journalists on May 27, only 15-20 families expressed
their dissatisfaction concerning the size of compensations. He reminded
that according to the decision of the RA Constitutional Court, those
principles of the RA legislation, which became possible cause for
incompleteness of the sale order of those zones and for their former
inhabitants’ suffering, must be changed till this October. According
to Y.Zakharian, means will be undertaken from now on for builders of
other zones of Yerevan subject to sale give flats to families living
there in the building being built, or in the case of disagreement of
families, enter into a compensation contract with them.
