PRIME MINISTER MIKATI VISITS ANTELIAS
His Holiness Aram I and Prime Minister Najib Mikati discussed the current
situation in Lebanon during a meeting in Antelias on August 8.
Mikati presented a general analysis of the situation during his tenure as
PM. His Holiness and Mikati then singled out the positive events and aspects
and stressed the importance of inter-confessional cooperation and the
strengthening of the country’s internal unity.
His Holiness commended the PM’s patriotism and his efforts in organizing the
parliamentary elections in Lebanon. Mikati assured that he has always been
and will remain a friend of the Armenian community of Lebanon.
The PM and His Holiness also discussed the situation in the Middle East and
its influence on Lebanon.
