FRENCH EX-PRESIDENT: TURKEY CANNOT JOIN EUROPEAN POLITICAL SYSTEM

structure, author of the European Constitution, ex-President of France
Valery Giscard d’Estaing, Yerkir Online reports. In his words, despite
Turkey’s being an important neighbor for Europe this country cannot join the
European political structure. D’Estaing also expressed assurance that on May
28 the majority of the French population will vote in favor of the European
Constitution.
