`ELITE CHANGE AND ELECTIONS IN CIS AND BALTIC COUNTRIES’ SCIENTIFIC
CONFERENCE TAKES PLACE IN MOSCOW

The Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia
organized `Elite change and Elections in CIS and Baltic Countries’
scientific-practical conference in Moscow, with participation of
Russian well-known political scientists, to discuss the questions of
Russian foreign policy in post-soviet space.

Head of the Institute of Human Rights of National Academy of Sciences
of Azerbaijan (NASA), Doctor of Politics, professor Rovshan Mustafayev
delivered his ` Russian foreign policy in post-soviet space: view from
Azerbaijan’ report, to note this Forum to promote technological,
innovation and humanitarian development, and examine the processes
taking place in post-soviet space.

Having criticized the political technologies of some Russian elites
and touching upon the political processes over Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict the professor said: `The time of Ethnic Purges and Mass
Migrations had gone. In 1918, Azerbaijan gave to Irevan and in 1920
Zangezur to Armenia, on insistence of Russia. The new Russia should
remember it’

R. Mustafayev also spoke of political situation in Azerbaijan,
underlining the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
