Jan-Aug Capital Investments in CIS Member States Up by 15% Y-o-Y

Moscow. According to official data of the CIS Statistics Committee,
over January-August 2004 overall capital investments in CIS member
states increased by 15% year-over-year. It has also reported an 11%
y-o-y increase in the volume of residential space commissioned in the
CIS. The highest growth in capital investments over the eight months
has been recorded in Azerbaijan with a 48% increase y-o-y, followed
by Belarus with 22%, Georgia with 20%, Moldavia with 19%, Armenia
with 18%, Kyrgyzstan with 13%, and Russia and Kazakhstan with 12%.
