SOLDIERS ATTACK DEMONSTRATORS

The military demanded people to go out from Baghramyan Avenue where Armenian
National Assembly and presidential residence sit. Demonstrators remained
adamant didn’t move.

Then, water-jets and afterward explosives were used against the protesters.
The opposition leaders Artashes Geghamyan, Stepan Demirchyan and Aram
Sargsyan stood in the front line.

Soldiers attacked demonstrators with batons. Frequent blasts rocked the site
leaving considerable number of wounded and the people got into a panic and
ran away.
