Siranoush and Boghos Arzoumanian Foundation representative Aram Karaguezian said that the new initiative will spread objectiveness and truth in the Spanish-language media sector, not allowing biased approaches to impact the inexperienced audiences who are interested in Armenian news and greatly contributing to the daily struggle of guaranteeing stability in Armenia, Artsakh and South Caucasus and maintaining regional security.

“I want to speak about my personal emotions that I felt when I opened the ARMENPRESS Spanish-language news. This allows us to enter the Armenian world with one click in the language which we know best. We welcome Narine Nazaryan’s presence, we are grateful that she’s come here to share our joy and we call on her to remain firmly standing in the foundation of objective journalism which conveys the voice of our homeland to the world,” Karaguezian said.

We are shaping history today, we are shaping values which are for the next centuries,” Nazaryan said.

YEREVAN, MAY 25, ARMENPRESS. Ambassador of Argentina to Armenia Mariano Vergara says the relations between the two countries are at a high level. According to him, a lot has been done over the course of years for the development of the Armenian-Argentine ties, but adds that still much needs to be done.

The Ambassador told reporters today that the fact that there is an Embassy of Argentina in Armenia is also conditioned by the large Armenian community in Argentina. He said this is also the reason why a concert will be held in Yerevan on May 27 on the occasion of the Argentine National Day, that is celebrated on May 25. “This is also a vivid manifestation of the Armenian-Argentine firm ties”, he added.

The Ambassador said he is impressed with Armenia, praising the high level of culture here and adding that music is loved and appreciated in Armenia.

“We have noticed that the music-lover Armenian society shows a special attitude to the Argentine tango, particularly, they like the works of Astor Piazzolla. It would be better if an Argentine bandoneonist came to Armenia, stayed here and gave concerts in the region and also played Argentine music. It would be much better if a school of Argentine tango opened in Armenia and there would be professional tango dancers here”, Mariano Vergara said.

He informed that they are planning another concert in Yerevan in October in cooperation with the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia. The concert will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Argentina.

“We are going to implement quite rich cultural programs. There will be photo exhibitions, presentations of translations of literary works and other events”, he said.

According to the prime minister, “all decisions on the launch of the satellite were made secretly, due to certain considerations”. Its launch became possible as a result of cooperation between the Armenian state institution “Geocosmos” and the Spanish company “Satlantis”.

According to Pashinyan, Armenia is entering an “era of space activity”:

“We hope that our rich traditions in this area will be restored. I mean the space research and production sector, which has existed in Armenia for many years”.

According to him, the localization of space technologies in Armenia, as well as the organization of the production of space instruments are the priority of his cabinet.

The satellite control center and receiving station will be established by the end of 2023. It is planned that the receiving station will provide services for receiving and transmitting data to other satellite operators.

“Satellite photographs will be used in Armenia for border control, emergency prevention, governance, environmental protection, including climate change monitoring, as well as in urban planning, road construction, geology and other areas”, the Prime Minister said.

Sports: Roma’s Mkhitaryan to Inter a done deal – reports

May 26 2022

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s proposed free transfer from Roma to Inter this summer is a done deal, according to various reports in Italy.

The Armenia international started the Giallorossi’s victorious Europa Conference League Final clash with Feyenoord but left the pitch through injury after just 17 minutes.

Il Corriere dello Sport among others report Mkhitaryan has told Roma he will not be extending his contract which expires on June 30 and will instead move to Inter.

The reports suggest he will sign a two-year contract worth €3.5 million net per year and will undergo a medical once he has recovered from the thigh injury which saw him withdrawn against Feyenoord.

Mkhitaryan shot to prominence when he joined Shakhtar Donetsk in 2010 from his native Armenia. He spent three years in Ukraine and won league and cup doubles in every season.

He then moved to Borussia Dortmund where he twice won the German Super Cup before leaving for Manchester United in 2016, where he claimed a League Cup and Europa League.

Following 18 months at Arsenal, he joined Roma in 2019 and has made 116 appearances, scoring 29 goals.
