THE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY IS ENGAGED IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF ARMENIA (RPA) PROPAGANDA

Although Armen Ashotyan, an RPA minister, has ordered rectors not
to politicize colleges, the student unions of those were and remain
“the most Republicanized.”

One of the striking examples of that was the event organized in
Charles Aznavour Square in the framework of the RPA election campaign,
the leading actors of which were the RPA youth organization and
the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) student union. The
university students not only made statements on the stage, but also
enthusiastically flew the RPA flag. inquired from Volodya
Gasparyan, the head of the ASPU student union, whether the university
student union was a party unit to be engaged in the propaganda of a
certain party, whether it wasn’t banned by the law.

“But who said that we are engaged in propaganda in the premises of
the university, moreover, it isn’t written the Pedagogical University
on the poster, it is written the ASPU student union,” justified
my interlocutor. The student union belongs to the Armenian State
Pedagogical University and not to any party unit,

doesn’t it? “The Student union is a self-governed body and has the
right to participate in multifold events,” Volodya tried not to give
up. “Even in party-like events?” we didn’t yield. The head of the
student union said that they could cooperate on various programs
which didn’t contradict the student interests.

And if, for example, the ANC makes an offer to cooperate what will
they do? “We haven’t gotten any such offer yet, if there is one,
we will discuss it,” concluded Volodya Gasparyan.

Turkologist: Azerbaijani Military Functionaries Launder Money At Mil

TURKOLOGIST: AZERBAIJANI MILITARY FUNCTIONARIES LAUNDER MONEY AT MILITARY EQUIPMENT

arminfo
Wednesday, April 11, 19:44

I have got an impression that all the countries of the region and,
in particular, Azerbaijan, which has been purchasing a great amount of
marine armament, has been actively preparing to the war, Turkologist
Sarkis Asatryan said at today’s press-conference. He also linked
the purchase of the armament with laundering of money, especially
if we take into consideration a rather high level of corruption
in Azerbaijan.

“The military functionaries launder money in the military contracts
very often. They buy old military equipment but register it like a
new one and earn big money thanks to that. I would like to recall
that such cases have been already registered in Azerbaijan, when
old military equipment was purchased from Ukraine. The case ended
tragically and was followed with human losses”, – Asatryan said.

He also added that the West will not start a war against Iran until
it finds placement of the nuclear objects of Iran which are under the
ground. Only after that the battle actions are possible, otherwise
the war will be long-lasting and bring many victims.

‘ATMOSPHERE OF FEAR IN AVAN’: GAYANE ARUSTAMYAN’S OBSERVATIONS

“Fear realms in Avan; there is an atmosphere of fear there,” said
Gayane Arustamyan who runs at constituency No.1 in Yerevan and whom
the Armenian National Congress defends.

Being in touch with people during those days has proved that “people
are afraid, they report that they are Republican first then something
else turns out.”

“I don’t want to open too many secrets, because I know the methodology
of the Republican party. I know their Nazi treatment with the people,”
she said.

According to the observations the number of people refusing electoral
bribe has increased. “They disgust it, you see, they disgust it,”
Arustamyan added.

ADIBEKYAN: “ARF-D CAN LEND ITS PROGRAMME TO OTHER PARTIES, THE LANGUAGE IS CLEAR”

A high political culture has been formulated among the Armenian public,
this is the conclusion of the study carried out by Aharon Adibekyan
who is the head of Sociometer Sociological Centre.

The study was mainly carried out in Yerevan. Presently, 70% of the
Armenian voters is going to participate in the elections, but 41%
has already decided while 29% is still hesitating.

The sociologist has also said the public is in confusion from the
statements of the leaders of different political forces.

“We must cut the tongues of all those who are presenting frantic
ratings,” Adibekyan said adding that in case they lose they must
resign, while no such case has taken place.

Touching upon the election technologies the sociologist noted
especially ANC and Heritage Party cannot have an election technology.

OYP, RPA, PAP and ARF-D are the parties the aims of which are close
to reality.

To note, Adibekyan, who was also present at the presentation of ARF-D’s
programme has also said today that ARF-D claims to be a leader with
its programme. The party must change its political brand.

“The programme had 74 points, which reflected all the problems of our
country-the social, ethnographic, political and economic problems. I
didn’t find any flaw. And in that respect, ARF-D may lend its
programme to the other parties, as the language is clear, the ideas
are perceptible and understandable for all the layers. Usually all
the programmes presented are either very coarse or very complicated.

The party is perceived as a national party, a party of personnel,
which can become strength in difficult moments,” Adibekyan has said.

adjacent to schools, said.

Speaking to Turkish daily Radikal, Pailan described the interior
social situation in Turkey.
