Second Stage Of Barevolution

SECOND STAGE OF BAREVOLUTION

>From today Raffi Hovannisian again leads baRevolution to the regions.

He has finished his hunger strike and will prepare for his ceremony
of inauguration after his regional visits.

Barevolution continues with its physical and spiritual expressions,
symbols and weirdness. The response of the political and pro-political
class is rather interesting. This class was unable to escape the
“accepted” methodology and algorithm of the political fight. The
most frequently repeated phrase is that Raffi cannot mobilize
political forces and public, the square is emptying day by day,
Raffi is confused and uncertain, he does not know what he wants and
so on. And a conclusion is drawn that Raffi is engaged in a deal with
the government and political forces.

It cannot be otherwise because the political and pro-political class of
Armenia, the mass media and commentators have not witnessed anything
else during the past two decades so it is hard for them to escape the
“reality” which does not favor them in many aspects.

A revolution, a real revolution is taking place in Armenia. The
ideas and stereotypes on political struggle and revolution do not
allow seeing the process that happens deep. At the same time, the
charm of this revolution is that it is happening in total public
inadequacy. On the other hand, it is a negative thing because the
society does not participate in this process. On the other hand, it’s
a guarantee that the process will continue straightly and accurately,
considering the nature and quality of the so-called active part of
the society, the political and pro-political class.

It seems to be a mystery but we will witness many more mysteries which
will finally crash the stereotypes that slow down our progress. For
example, the faster the square empties, the faster the processes take
place. The square has always been a place of destruction, violence,
hatred through which the system with all its segments, both government
and opposition, has been able to sustain itself. Barevolution
eliminates the square with all its foul expressions and stereotypes,
shaping the crowd into a citizen with common sense and consciousness
who has to assume responsibility for their own future.

This is revolution – change of consciousness, love and smile,
self-criticism and tolerance, and most importantly, dignity. This
process is invincible, it cannot be stopped and deviate from its path.

Revolution is not the number of people but change of consciousness
after which several people will “state” it and bring it into being.

Is Raffi Hovannisian adequate to this situation? At least, so far he
has not deviated from the logic of the new processes.

Turkish Writer: Israel’s Apology Prepared Grounds For Turkey To Apol

TURKISH WRITER: ISRAEL’S APOLOGY PREPARED GROUNDS FOR TURKEY TO APOLOGIZE TO ARMENIA

18:25 02/04/2013 ” IN THE WORLD

Turkish writer Ismet Ozel wrote on article on Israel’s recent apology
to Turkey over the raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla that killed
eight Turks and a Turkish- American in 2010, Ermenihaber.am news
website reported. Ozel believes that Israel’s apology can prepare
grounds for Turkey to apologize to Armenia.

Israel’s apology was part of a CIA operation and the plan for 2015,
Ozel says. Israel would never apologize to an authoritative country.

With this move, it paves the way for Turkey to apologize to Armenia
in 2015.

“The U.S. reminds Israel of the formula “give one, take five.” It
will be in the interests of both Tel Aviv and Athens if Turkey pays
compensation to Armenia. One should just be an AKP member [Turkey’s
ruling Justice and Development Party] to fail to understand it,”
Ozel says.

Is Karabakh Map Again Played?

IS KARABAKH MAP AGAIN PLAYED?

The significant accumulation of Azerbaijani militants on the border
with Armenia, according to military psychologist David Jamalyan,
is determined by their wish to escalate the situation on the eve of
Serzh Sargsyan’s inauguration. He says since Serzh Sargsyan is a more
pro-Armenian figure who has a more categorical view on the Karabakh
issue, Azerbaijan needs that his positions in Armenia weaken and
that people are afraid of sending their sons to the line of contact
accusing Serzh Sargsyan of lack of security.

Last week, representatives of the ministry of defense stated several
times about the accumulation of Karabakh militants on the border and
warned about the possible attacks. This information caused suspicion
of many Armenian experts that on April 9 when the opposition will
hold the parallel inauguration, the Karabakh map will be played.

This map has been played in the Armenian political life very often:
in the tensest moments for the power, the situation on the border was
heating up and the opponents were immediately accused of splitting
the national unity threatening the national security. There have even
been diversion attacks, which killed dozens of innocent youths. As
a result, opponents announced they didn’t intend to go against the
national security, as no one could tell for sure, whether it was an
artificial tension, or Azerbaijan was preparing a provocation.

It is not known whether the current tension on the border will be
the regular platform for national unity. God willing, everything will
end without victims and destructive provocations.

Nevertheless, certain underwater processes are happening also in
the Karabakh conflict. Minsk Group co-chairs who visited Armenia
and Artsakh last week, said that they had some new ideas. Today,
they will discuss them in Baku after which they will go to Artsakh
and will probably issue the relevant statement there.

It is unlikely that these ideas contain the final settlement of the
conflict, not least because elections in Azerbaijan are due in autumn.

But some proposals for open communication and participation in the
common regional projects are likely. In any case, the Azerbaijani
foreign minister hinted that Armenia can join the Baku, Ankara
and Tbilisi project. True, if “they withdraw from the occupied
territories.” That is, this is another bluff, as Armenia will never
agree to such a condition.

The information reported by AzeriDefence.com that Russia and Azerbaijan
suspended negotiations over the weapon supply is interesting. It is
noted that Azerbaijan refused buying new rescue helicopters, T-90S
tanks and armored vehicle BMP T, anti-aircraft missiles and else. So,
it is not ruled out that Russia is also interested in increasing
tension on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Armenian Ombudsman’s Office Releases Report On 2013 Presidential Ele

ARMENIAN OMBUDSMAN’S OFFICE RELEASES REPORT ON 2013 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

16:24 ~U 02.04.13

The office of Armenia’s Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) has released
a special report on the 2013 presidential election in Armenia.

According to the report, the 2013 presidential election was freer than
the previous elections, but many people did not trust the election.

The report lists a number of reasons for mistrust:

for years, Armenia’s relevant government bodies (Police, Prosecutor’s
Office, Constitutional Court) have not properly responded to overt
election frauds, which deepened public mistrust;

100 reports on election frauds were received during the election,
but Armenia’s police did not expose any of the instances, whereas
four of 20 instances reported later were exposed;

administrative resources were used during the elections, but no
charges were brought against anyone;

Armenia’s opposition political forces and international organizations
stressed the fact that the number of votes cast for Armenia’s incumbent
President Serzh Sargsyan was much higher in the constituencies that
showed a higher-than-average voter turnout.

On the other hand, the elections were fair for the following reasons:

the presidential candidates were registered without any violations;

no serious impediment to the presidential candidates’ election campaign
was reported;

legal requirements were respected in media coverage of the presidential
candidates’ election campaign;

about 3,500 fewer inaccuracies were registered;

the Central Electoral Commission properly examined complaints received
from voters.

LEVON ARONIAN STARTED WORLD CHAMPION CANDIDATES’ TOURNAMENT WELL – RUSSIAN GM

April 2

By Vera Martirosyan

The World Champion Candidates’ Tournament, which wrapped up in London,
will be remembered for long. Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian-who plays
first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champion Armenian
national team and who is currently ranked second in the World Chess
Federation (FIDE) Ratings-began the tournament marvelously. Russian
national chess team coach, GM Vladimir Potkin-who had worked with
Aronian for several years-told this to NEWS.am Sport.

“This was one of the most spectacular and interesting tournaments.

They all were fighting until the last moment. Levon began the
tournament marvelously, but only he can explain what happened with
him after his game against [GM Boris] Gelfand [of Israel]; there
could be a variety of factors. The tension was so strong in the end
that many were making mistakes.

“I wish Levon Aronian success, so that he may perform in the best
way in the next stage. Despite everything, he is one of the world’s
strongest chess players. With his beautiful game, Levon will make the
Armenian fans happy still for a long time,” Potkin said in particular.
