Genocidal Tendencies Are Nothing New About Islamism

GENOCIDAL TENDENCIES ARE NOTHING NEW ABOUT ISLAMISM

PanARMENIAN.Net – It is well-known that in recent years, the Arab
Islamists ruled Northern Sudan has murdered possibly 400,000 Blacks
in a racist genocide in Darfur, but such genocidal tendencies are
nothing new about Islamism, Roddy Newman writes in an article he titled
“Islamism’s Genocidal Tendencies.”

The Ottoman Empire, which, like modern Northern Sudan, had a Sharia
law-based legal system, was responsible for the Armenian Genocide, in
which a million or more Christians were killed. These are examples of
examples of Islamist mass-murder in modern times, but Islamic genocide
is not a modern phenomenon. From the times of Islam’s founder Muhammad,
Islamist jihad against “infidels” has involved similar massacres,
says the article published on actforamerica.wordpress.com.

So why do Islamists have genocidal tendencies? For one thing, numerous
verses of “The Koran”, for example 2:191, encourage Muslims to fight
against and, thus, kill non-Muslims, and Mohammed said elsewhere that
Jews should be massacred to the last man, the article reminds.

It is it no wonder that Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” is a bestseller in
Bangladesh, Turkey and the Palestinian territories. Finally, it is
also not surprising that many Arab Islamists pray every Friday in
their mosques for the destruction of all non-Muslims, it says.

AGBU’s Young Professionals of Los Angeles Donate to Prenatal Daycare
Center in Armenia

By Aleen Khanjian

The Young Professionals of Los Angeles (YPLA) — under the auspices of
AGBU — recently donated $1,500 to the AGBU Hye Geen Prenatal Daycare
Center in Vanadzor, Armenia, to fully cover the center’s operating costs
for the remainder of 2011.

“This donation to our sister organization honors the incredible advances
of AGBU Hye Geen and the vital role the organization has played for the
future of Armenia by addressing such important issues such as infant
mortality,” said outgoing YPLA chairman Yeghig Keshishian. “Its work is
a testament to the visionary leadership of AGBU in serving as a bastion
of positive change for the Armenian nation.”

The AGBU Hye Geen Prenatal Daycare Center in Vanadzor opened in 2006 and
was the second center established by AGBU Hye Geen, which also has
facilities in the cities of Gyumri, Talin, and most recently, Yeghvart.
Sona Yacoubian is the founder and current chairperson of AGBU Hye Geen,
an organization based in Southern California at the AGBU Pasadena
Center.

YPLA’s contribution to the center brings YPLA’s total donations this
year to more than $5,000, all of which originated from fundraisers. In
June, AGBU YPLA awarded $2,500 in scholarships to eight participants in
the AGBU Generation Next Mentorship program. In September, the group
donated smaller amounts to the local AGBU Scouts and the students at
AGBU Manoukian High School in Pasadena.

“These contributions highlight AGBU YPLA’s deep commitment to supporting
and strengthening the general welfare of our community – both in the
diaspora and the homeland,” said Keshishian, whose officer term and
tenure on the steering committee ends this month. “In the past year,
AGBU YPLA has made strong gains by heightening its overall presence
across Los Angeles through several new initiatives and by fostering
partnerships in Armenian and non-Armenian circles. It has been an honor
and pleasure to serve as YPLA Chair, and as a general member of its
steering committee.”

AGBU Hye Geen was established nearly 20 years ago to provide pregnant
Armenian women in need of medical care with basic prenatal services, as
well as necessary medical exams and personalized counseling. To date,
more than 740 women have benefitted from their services.

Established in 1906, AGBU () is the world’s largest
non-profit Armenian organization. Headquartered in New York City, AGBU
preserves and promotes the Armenian identity and heritage through
educational, cultural and humanitarian programs, annually touching the
lives of some 400,000 Armenians around the world.

Haaretz article urges Turkey to acknowledge Armenian Genocide

Haaretz article urges Turkey to acknowledge Armenian Genocide

13:49 – 16.10.11

Emanuele Ottolenghi, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of
Democracies, in a piece posted on the leading Israeli newspaper
Haaretz Web site on Friday, says that Turkey should acknowledge the
Armenian Genocide.

`Turkey continues to practice state-sanctioned genocide denial and
prosecutes those who dare challenge it. Isn’t it time, 90-something
years after the Ottoman Empire eliminated as many as 1.5 million
Armenians that Mr. Erdogan’s `mildly Islamist’ party, as The Economist
leniently defines it, acknowledges Turkey’s dark past and apologizes
on behalf of its country’s crimes?’ asks Ottolenghi.

`Not to belabor the point, but the list of things Turkey should
apologize for is long. It continues to illegally occupy Northern
Cyprus, the territory of a European Union member, after having
conquered the land through an act of aggression that ended in ethnic
cleansing and illegal settlements,’ wrote he.

`No apology there so far – in fact, Turkey has just threatened to
freeze ties with the EU if Cyprus receives the Union’s rotating
presidency next year, as it is supposed to. Meanwhile, Mr. Erdogan is
directing his gunboat diplomacy threats at Cyprus as well – as if
occupation, ethnic cleansing and the creation of a fictitiously
independent republic in the northern part of the island were not
enough,’ adds Ottolenghi.

`Moral of the story: If you behave like a bull, you should not live in
a china shop. And if you live in a glass house, think twice before you
throw stones at your neighbors. Mr. Erdogan wants an apology? How
about starting with one?’ concludes the author.

BAHAR MURADOVA: BERNARD FASSIER SAID AT THE OSCE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY THAT ARMENIA WANTS TO GAIN TIME THROUGH PROTRACTING THE SOLUTION OF THE CONFLICT

Milaz.info , Azerbaijan
Oct 14 2011

“The discussions on Nagorno Karabakh conflict, which were held during
the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s session in Croatia last week,
were the results of the numerous initiatives of Azerbaijan.

The proposal was serious, the discussions were held as a result of
the efforts of João Soares and Petros Efthymiou,” vice-speaker of
Azerbaijani parliament, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to OSCE
Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) Bahar Muradova said at the press
conference, APA reports.

Bahar Muradova said OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs also attended the
meeting. Though it had been said that one of the co-chairs would miss
the meeting, all the three co-chairs and personal representative of
OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk attended the discussions.

Vice-speaker said French co-chair Bernard Fassier made a speech first,
his speech was constructive with some exceptions.

“Fassier’s speech can be considered constructive. He said Nagorno
Karabakh is the territory of Azerbaijan. Nagorno Karabakh, including
the seven adjacent regions has been occupied by Armenia. There are
one million refugees. Though there are several variants concerning
the resolution of the conflict, the sides do not agree to it. The
Azerbaijani side does not support people’s right to self-determination,
the Armenian side wants to gain time through protracting the solution
of the conflict. On the eve of the adoption of the resolution, the
Armenian side rejected it. US co-chair Robert Bradtke gave information
about the Madrid principles, Russian co-chair Igor Popov about the
extra activity of Russia as a co-chairing country. Andrzej Kasprzyk’s
complaint about the number of the staff members in his office caused
discontent of the parliamentarians.

Kasprzyk said 20 were killed, 36 wounded from both sides in the past
nine years,” she said.

Muradova said Azerbaijani delegation demonstrated constructive position
during the discussions and speech of the head of delegation was
accepted positively. Azerbaijani side accepted the Madrid principles,
supports the peaceful solution to the conflict and is ready to build
confidence between the sides.

Vice speaker said that Armenian representatives made non-constructive
speeches, which caused protests by the European parliamentarians. “We
didn’t see any constructiveness in the Armenian position. They
accused Azerbaijan of breaking the results of Kazan meeting. They
claimed that Azerbaijan didn’t withdraw snipers from the frontline. We
said Azerbaijani side didn’t want incidents in the frontline and was
investigating the causes. We are ready even to withdraw our troops from
the frontline. For that Armenian must leave the occupied territories
of Azerbaijan and withdraw troops from there”.

Muradova added that on the opening day of the session, she met with
the representatives of 25 countries and invited them to attend the
hearings. 19 of them delivered speeches and most of them supported
the solution to the conflict on the basis of the UN and European
Parliament’s decisions. Representatives of Ukraine, Belgium, Belarus,
Serbia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Turkey and other countries stated
that they see the solution to the conflict only within the territorial
integrity of Azerbaijan. Their ideas will be described in the OSCE
PA’s winter session report.

Other members of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA – Eldar
Ibrahimov, Aghalar Veliyev and Rabiyyat Aslanova also participated
in the press conference.

BAKU: Azerbaijan To Need $28.4 Bn To Restore Armenia-Occupied Lands

AZERBAIJAN TO NEED $28.4 BN TO RESTORE ARMENIA-OCCUPIED LANDS

Azerbaijan Business Center
Oct 14 2011

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Nearly $28.4 bn will be demanded for Azerbaijan
to rehabilitate territories under occupation of Armenia.

Eldar Ismailov, head of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan (ABA)
and author of book “Conceptual bases of post-conflict restoration of
Azerbaijan’s territories”, calculations were conducted on a certain
period, in accord with which that amount has been found.

“The restoration work on the territory of Nagorno Garabakh will take
five years. This amount includes primarily costs on rebuilding of the
infrastructure and definition of residential areas,” Ismayilov said.

He added that a short version two-year research was published as a
book. The entire report consists of six volumes.

“Azerbaijan has sufficient finances to fund these expenditures. But
here is the question of financing the process not only at the expense
of domestic money but also at the expense of international donors
who have already expressed interest. We’ve already held discussions
with the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, European Bank
for Reconstruction and Development, and all they are interested in
providing long-term loans for expenditures on restoration of occupied
territories,” Ismayilov said.

Association’s head also said that the report had been already submitted
to the country’s government.

Expert: Armenian Advertisement Market Badly In Need Of Legislative R

EXPERT: ARMENIAN ADVERTISEMENT MARKET BADLY IN NEED OF LEGISLATIVE REGULATION

ARKA
Oct 14, 2011

YEREVAN, October 14. /ARKA/. Armenian advertisement market is badly
in need of legislative regulation, Arzuman Harutyunyan, chairman of
Armneia’s advertisement council, said Friday in Novosti International
Press Center.

“Armenia has the advertisement law, but it has some faults,” he said.

“Besides, there are some phenomena connected with morality and some
breaches of the law which need attention.”

He said that the advertisement council is trying to put things right
– it has repeatedly appealed to appropriate institutions and the
National Assembly.

The head of the council said that an appropriate concept was worked
out in 2010 and later proposals were submitted on changed in the law
on advertisement.

Harutyunyan found it difficult to indicate the precise number of
advertising agencies in Armenia because of the absolute lack of
segmentation at this market.

Raffi Niziblian, president of the Second International Advertisement
Festival Popok (Ð~^Ñ~@ех) and head of Deem Communications company,
on his side, said that creative fantasy is abundant in Armenia, but
many advertising companies are avoid to spend much money for creating
ads, or are afraid of being first.

“Many creative people, after failing to produce results in Armenia,
leave the country, and their services become more demanded overseas,”
he said.

Armenia’s Advertisement Council is nongovernmental organization
focused on advertisement market regulation.

The council was established five years ago, but obtained its legal
status this year.

The organization monitors advertisement market and provides consulting
services.
