Safarov axed Margaryan to death in Budapest in 2004, when both
servicement were attending Nato-organized English language trainings
in the Hungarian capital. In 2006, the Budapest City Court sentenced
Safarov to life in prison. But in 2006, the axe-killer was extradited

BAKU: Conflict Occurs Between Armenian And Azerbaijani Delegations A

CONFLICT OCCURS BETWEEN ARMENIAN AND AZERBAIJANI DELEGATIONS AT EUROPEAN JUSTICE MINISTER’S CONFERENCE

APA

Azerbaijan

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. European Council in co-operation with
the Austrian government has organized the 31st conference of Justice
Ministers of EC member states in Vienna. The press service of the
Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan told APA that the delegation led
by the Azerbaijani Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov also attended
the conference.

In order to express its dirty intension at such a respectful
conference, the Armenian delegation put into agenda the protest issue
concerning Ramil Safarov’s extradition to Azerbaijan and his pardoning,
and made efforts to prepare special speeches and hold discussions
dealing with above mentioned issue. But these irrelevant efforts
have been prevented by the Azerbaijani delegation, because the above
mentioned issue had nothing in common with the topic of the conference
and was absolutely baseless. The Armenian delegation made efforts to
pursue baseless talks as if Ramil Safarov’s pardoning was contradictory
to the European values and legislation. But the Azerbaijani delegation
has made a statement that the above mentioned issue was realized in
accordance with norms of international law. It’s was mentioned in the
document that the extradition and pardoning was realized according to
the international convention and the legislations of both states. As a
result, the Armenian delegation couldn’t achieve its intension; vice
versa the participants of the conference focused their attention on
the Armenian terrorism, especially the fact that Armenian terrorist
organization ASALA has threatened Azerbaijani diplomats.

Soccer: Mika Prevail On Penalties In Armenian Super Cup

MIKA PREVAIL ON PENALTIES IN ARMENIAN SUPER CUP

UEFA.com
Sept 25 2012

Khachik Chakhoyan, from Yerevan

“To win the Armenian Super Cup is a big honour,” said FC Mika coach
Zsolt Hornyak after his side beat defending champions Ulisses FC to
lift the first trophy of the season.

Armenian Premier League leaders FC Mika beat defending champions
Ulisses FC on penalties to lift the Armenian Super Cup and claim
their first trophy of the season.

Neither side were able to forge ahead in the first half and Samvel
Melkonyan spurned two good opportunities to give Ulisses the lead after
the break. Mika had goalkeeper Gevorg Kasparov to thank for keeping the
score goalless with substitute Arsen Balabekyan adding an attacking
threat for Ulisses. Chances were limited as the game went into extra
time and Gegam Harutyunyan missed to give Kasparov the opportunity
to win his side the game to the delight of coach Zsolt Hornyak.

“To win the Armenian Super Cup is a big honour,” said Hornyak.

“Despite our losses the young players who took to the pitch showed
their character. Gevorg Kasparov asked to take the penalty at the
very last minute. He did it brilliantly and secured us the victory.”
