Georgia Is On The Verge Of Partition By "Historical Borders"

GEORGIA IS ON THE VERGE OF PARTITION BY "HISTORICAL BORDERS"

In fact what we have now is a totally new Georgia. If we trace the
country’s development since 1991 it becomes clear that Tbilisi has
been experiencing nothing but losses.

As a rule, misinformation is spread with the particular aim of
exploring circumstances, shaping a certain public opinion, and if
everything goes according to the plan, information proves to be
true. Another advantage of misinformation is anonymity, which under
certain conditions may turn into an alibi: we never said it and we
know nothing… There was an information leak the other day. If we
trust Turkish and Azerbaijani informative sources, Baku and Ankara are
going to stiffen pressure on Georgia in order to achieve federalization
of the country.

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Thus, Turkey is determined to split up Georgia,
leaving her with only historical regions (Kartli, Shida Kartli (Gori)
and Kakheti), which in 1783 were placed under the Russian patronage
according to the Treaty of Georgievsk. The rest, i.e. independent
Ajaria, Azerbaijani Kvemo-Kartli (Borchali) and the Turk-Meskhets will
be distributed "by rights". It is obvious that under such distribution
Javakhk may pass to Armenia, if the sides come to an agreement.

As Turk diplomats claim such federation would be the only guarantee
for preservation of Georgia’s territorial integrity. But the question
is which Georgia we mean – present Georgia, the Soviet Socialist
Republic of Georgia or the Georgia of 1918. There is an impression
that the term "territorial integrity" has turned into a song which
is sung throughout the world in or out of place.

Nevertheless, talks on Georgia’s partition are already in circulation
and it is not difficult to foresee Georgia’s future, especially in case
President Saakashvili decides on another reckless military attempt,
like the August operation, which, by the way, is quite probable on the
eve of the US Presidential Elections… But who will serve as an object
for "recovering the constitutional order" this time? It can hardly be
Javakhk, as in this case Turkey’s intervention would be inevitable,
whereas in all probability Saakashvili would be reluctant to strain
relations with Turkey. The latter is a member of NATO and can simply
block Georgia’s getting a Membership Action Plan (MAP). Thus, the
Georgian President dug his own hole, where he can hardly manage to
rise from. The spasmodic attempts to call the West and especially the
United States for help are like a voice crying in the wilderness. The
world is busy with the financial crisis and Georgia’s problems do
not worry it much. However, Tbilisi is reluctant to understand it.

In fact what we have now is a totally new Georgia. If we trace the
country’s development since 1991, i.e. after the USSR breakdown,
it becomes clear that Tbilisi has been experiencing nothing but
losses. Zviad Gamsakhurdia, the First President of the Republic of
Georgia, led the country into the chaos of the Civil War, losing
Abkhazia. During the reign of Eduard Shevardnadze Ajaria was actually
an independent region, which only Mikhail Saakashvili was able to
return to Georgia. Now Georgia has lost South Ossetia and, finally,
Abkhazia.

Separatist tendencies that exist in the republics of the former USSR
once more underline the illogical and inaccurate division of borders,
fixed before the World War II. By the way the republics, whose borders
are more or less accurate, do not face conflicts, Armenia being among
them. On the other hand it is rather inappropriate to speak of the
"accuracy" of borders, as the current world map gives too broad
interpretations on the precision of this or that border…

Concerning Georgia there is also another consideration that
prevails over all others. It is the transportation of energy
resources. Unfortunately Mikhail Saakashvili used to believe
that without him oil would never get to Europe. However, with the
beginning of the military operations in South Ossetia, Turkey and
Azerbaijan ceased to trust Tbilisi, considering that unruly Mikhail
Saakashvili might put at stake the normal functioning of oil-pipeline
Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and gas-line Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum. After all,
the above-mentioned pipelines both pass through Ajaria, Kvemo-Kartli
and Samtskhe-Javakheti. Thus, the major war in the Caucasus is still
ahead. And if we also take into account the fact that together with
Turkey Russia is rapidly increasing its presence in the Caucasus,
Administration of the future US President is going to face great
difficulties.

Meanwhile, RF Foreign Ministry declares that Georgia is trying to
launch another war in the Caucasus. The reason for this declaration
has been a number of terrorist acts in the territory of Abkhazia and
South Ossetia, as well as in the buffer zone of these republics. RF
Foreign Ministry Department of Information and Press states: "There is
an impression that certain powers in Tbilisi are consciously straining
the situation in the region and are trying to provoke new military
operations through a series of terrorist acts".

Kicking It With Khloe – MF Catches Up With Beauty Khloe Kardashian

KICKING IT WITH KHLOE – MF CATCHES UP WITH BEAUTY KHLOE KARDASHIAN

A fan favorite of E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Khloe
Kardashian steals the show with her witty and tell-it-like-it-is
dialogue. In addition to sharing the spotlight with her two older
sisters, Kourtney and Kim, she manages DASH, a high-end women’s
boutique in Southern California. MF was lucky enough to catch up with
Khloe right after her show in New York City during Fashion Week, where
she dished about the next season of the show, her biggest turn-on,
and what it takes to keep up with this Kardashian.

Which male celebrities have the best fashion sense?

David Beckham has great style. George Clooney has an amazing style
too — he’s really handsome, classic and old school, which I love.

You’re currently filming Keeping up with the Kardashians. What
craziness will we see in the next season?

(Laughs) It’s honestly so much craziness. There’s footage of Kim and
Reggie [Bush] and the sides of them that people don’t get to see very
often. There’s footage of my DUI. It’s my sisters and I really coming
into our own and trying to venture out to do different things. For
me it’s fashion.

You’re extremely close to your sisters. Is it hard being away from
one another after a few days, or does it allow some freedom?

It’s actually really hard. We’re so used to spending time with each
other and relying on one another for support. If someone’s tired the
other one picks up the energy. When you’re by yourself it’s harder. But
it’s really good for us to do things on our own and that’s what, I
think, this season is about as well. It’s finding our own and being
comfortable being away from each other.

There’s been tons of buzz about you being a part of Celebrity
Apprentice. Do you care to elaborate?

I haven’t been approached to do it. I haven’t really thought about
it or signed anything. I’m still filming my show and doing a lot of
other things. Plus, I just don’t know if I have time. It’s really up
in the air.

On the show you’re always having fun and you don’t hold back from
saying what’s on you’re mind. Do you think that’s a turn-on for guys?

I think a turn-on for guys is a woman that’s comfortable in her own
skin. — a woman that’s not fake and phony. I don’t apologize for who
I am. I am who I am, and I love it! I’m very comfortable. Either you
love me or hate me. I’m not going to apologize for that or change my
ways to make someone else happy.

MFers are dying to know . . . what is your biggest turn-on?

(Laughs) I love attention. I love someone that can make me laugh. If
I can laugh, I’m yours!

Are your sisters still giving you a hard time about being single?

They are. They always will because they all have boyfriends. I am
dating, but I’m not serious with anyone at the moment. I’m really
trying to focus on finding my niche right now. And once I find
that then I’ll start seriously dating. But I feel like sometimes men
distract you from doing other things and I don’t want to be distracted
right now. (Laughs)

Speaking of dating — what’s a complete deal breaker for you?

You have to be able to laugh at yourself and know how to handle a
strong woman. I’m very strong and opinionated and I’m not going to
change for anyone, so if you can’t handle that then you have got to
go. You’ve got to be a strong individual to be able to handle a girl
like me.

Since this is Men’s Fitness, what’s your favorite part of a man’s body?

(Laughs) Chest and arms! I just like touching them and lying on
them. The upper body is the sexiest part!

Last but not least: With your Armenian background, you’re an exotic
beauty. Why do you think women that are full of diversity drive
men nuts?

Exotic women are beautiful. I love some sort of exoticness in
women. It makes them sexy. Exotic women are very comfortable in their
own skin. They’re curvy and they just embrace themselves. I love
women that embrace their heritage and nationality. It’s the inner
confidence. And they just look so damn hot!

What Made Hindus Angry In Karnataka

India

Francois GautierFirst Published : 06 Oct 2008 02:12:00 AM ISTLast
Updated : 06 Oct 2008 07:40:54 AM ISTI WAS born in a Catholic
family. My uncle was a priest, a wonderful man of warmth and compassion
and I spent most my early years in Catholic boarding schools. When I
was young I wanted to become a missionary and to ‘convert’ pagans in
Asia. What I was taught by priests was that Hindus worship false gods
and they needed to be brought back to the True Word by Jesus Christ.

Then of course, I came to India and discovered that actually Hindus,
far from being the heathens, as had been portrayed in Europe, not
only believed God’s diversity, the wonderful concept of avatar, but
had given refuge to all persecuted minorities of the world, whether
the Syrian Christians, the Parsis, the Jews (India is the only country
in the world where Jews were not persecuted), the Armenians, or today
the Tibetans.

I am also aghast at the one-sided coverage by the Indian media of the
Christian- Hindu problem: blasts after blasts have killed hundreds
of innocent Hindus in Varanasi, Delhi, Mumbai train blasts, Jaipur,
etc. Yet, neither Manmohan Singh nor Sonia Gandhi have pronounced
once the word ‘Islamic terrorism.’ But when furious Hindus, tired of
being made fun of, of witnessing their brothers and sisters converted
by financials traps, of seeing a 84-year-old swami and his Mataji
brutally murdered, of reading blasphemy about their Gods, vent their
anger against churches, many of them makeshifts, the Indian government
goes after the soft target which the Hindus are. The same thing applies
to the United States: they never warned Muslim organisations in India
about the killing of Hindus, but when dollars are used to buy new
converts and it angers the majority community of India,Washington
has the arrogance to issue a warning, and Manmohan Singh does not
have the pride to tell the US to mind its own business.

Neither the Indian press nor the western correspondents bothered to
write about what made Hindus angry in Karnataka: Newlife, one important
westernfunded missionary centre ( ),
began making conversions in and around Mangalore by accosting poor
people in market areas, or in bus stands, befriending them and then
taking them to churches to introduce them to the father.

Upon introduction they were paid Rs 2,500 per person and then taken
to the Velankanni shrine, in Tamil Nadu, where they would get another
Rs. 3,000.

When they finally converted to Christianity by changing the name,
they got an incentive of Rs 10,000 onwards.

Newlife would then give them instructions to abandon wearing tilak
on forehead, not to visit and offer prayers at the Hindu temples,
replacing the photos and idols of Hindu gods and goddesses with a
Cross, etc.

But what really angered local Hindus was when Newlife went one
step further and published a book in Kannada — Satya Darshini —
which was widely distributed by its missionaries. Here below is
the translation of some of the most abusive passages: "Urvashi —
the daughter of Lord Vishnu — is a prostitute.

Vashistha is the son of this prostitute.

He in turn married his own Mother. Such a degraded person is the Guru
of the Hindu God Rama. (page 48).

When Krishna himself is wallowing in darkness of hell, how can he
enlighten others? Since Krishna himself is a shady character, there
is a need for us to liberate his misled followers (page 50). It was
Brahma himself who kidnapped Sita.

"Since Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva were themselves victims of lust,
it is a sin to consider them as Gods. (page 39).

When the Trinity of Hinduism (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva) are consumed
by lust and anger, how can they liberate others? The projection of
them as Gods is nothing but a joke. (page 39). God, please liberate the
sinful people of India who are worshipping False Gods. (Page 39)." When
blasphemy and much worse is brought against the most sacred Hindu Gods,
Hindus are supposed to take it meekly as sheep and let themselves be
converted to a foreign religion! There are more than 4,000 foreign
Christian missionaries involved in conversion activities across
different states.

In Tripura, there were no Christians at the time of independence. There
are 1,20,000 today, a 90 per cent increase since 1991. The figures are
even more striking in Arunachal Pradesh, where there were only 1,710
Christians in 1961, but 1.2 million today, as well as 780 churches! In
Andhra Pradesh, churches are coming up every day in far-flung villages
and there was even an attempt to set up one near Tirupati.

Christians throughout the ages have strived on the concept of
persecution and as a brought up Catholic, I remember feeling bad about
all those martyred saints of Christianity. Christians in India like
to say that they are only two per cent and can do no harm. But it is
a sham: in the Tamil Nadu coastal belt from Chennai to Kanyakumari,
there must be now 10 per cent Christians posttsunami and the same
may be true in other parts of south India.

My heart goes out to Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa who
took a courageous stand against unethical Christian conversions,
but is now under pressure from the Centre.

The BJP, having learnt from bitter experience that the Congress has
no qualm in invoking President’s rule under fallacious pretexts in
states which are ruled by non-Congress governments is in a quandary:
it must show some action against militant Hindu groups while remaining
true to itself.

This is why Yeddyurappa took some action against Hindu groups while
saying that his government will not tolerate forcible conversions
and will take stringent action against missionaries involved in
conversions.

And ultimately, the blame must fall on Hindus: they are 800 million
in India, the overwhelming majority; they have the brains, they have
the money and they have the power. But either their intellectual and
political class sides with the minorities, out of fear, inferiority
complex imbedded by the British or just sheer crass political
opportunism, or the bigger mass is indifferent inert, selfish, un-civic
conscious. Every Hindu is the inheritor of the only surviving spiritual
knowledge which at the moment is under a concerted attack by Christian
missionaries, Americanisation, Marxism and Islamic fundamentalism.

Muslims Put Tourniquet on Book ‘Bleeding for Allah’

Muslims Put Tourniquet on Book ‘Bleeding for Allah’

"It is Aurelius’ objective, almost scientific-method approach to the
subject of Islam and its prophet Muhammad that apparently makes
Muslims so uneasy. "

NEW YORK, NY — Every once in a while someone does something that
really pisses-off a whole population of people. Markus Aurelius’ book,
"Bleeding for Allah: Why Islam will Conquer the Free World. What
Americans need to Know", seems to have done just that. Millions of
Muslims around the world are incensed by this smallish book and have
responded en masse by having it banned in countries all across Africa
and Asia.

To see what the real deal was, I bought my own copy of "Bleeding for
Allah" on Amazon.com and perused the paperback. At first glance, it
doesn’t seem to be significantly different than the host of other
anti-Islamic texts that have recently flooded the bookstores. But it
is the subtle differences between "Bleeding for Allah" and the other
books that makes it so much more dangerous and insidious to the
Muslims. To begin with, Aurelius was not an activist, politician,
evangelist or recently enlightened ex-Muslim. He was an obscure
scientist. Not a man with an agenda. In fact, it is clear that he
initially read the Koran for intellectual insight and was so alarmed
by its violence that he spent four years studying and writing about
the subject.

Actually, it is Aurelius’ objective, almost scientific-method approach
to the subject of Islam and its prophet Muhammad that apparently makes
Muslims so uneasy. Using a detailed analysis of the Koran, down to the
very number of hateful words employed in it, the author paints a hard
to refute picture. By applying countless social and historical
references (many of them Islamic), the author re-creates Muhammad’s
pragmatic approach to his own earthly success 1,300 years ago. No
punches are pulled on the details of the Prophet’s application of
large scale murder, sexual slavery and scriptural creativity.

The mountain of facts presented by the author in "Bleeding for Allah"
clearly portrays Muhammad as a calculating and manipulative, albeit
ingenious, fakir. This portrayal is a large element of the rage felt
by Muslims against this book. However, the gruesome details that
Aurelius employs in his graphic storytelling of the Muslim genocides
waged against the Armenians, Bangladeshis and Sudanese pushes Muslims
over the edge.

Here is an excerpt from Amapedia.com that accurately reflects the
issue: "Bleeding" takes the reader on a seriously provocative,
sometimes overly bloody journey through time. It is this difficult,
yet accurate voyage that has Muslims incensed throughout the Middle
East. A quick internet search shows the level of resentment that this
book has generated in the Islamic world."

It can be seen why "Bleeding for Allah" is being so denigrated as to
be labeled "The great book of lies". Muslims are viscerally desperate
to defend their prophet and their own militant and imperialistic
history. However, by banning the reading of any book, under penalty of
prison or death, only illustrates how profoundly backward, intolerant
and blind Islamists must truly be.

Over 4 years in the making, "Bleeding for Allah" scrutinizes Islam
from the very birth of the religion.
The Koran, the Holy Book of more than one billion people
worldwide, is systematically analyzed to reflect the true nature of
its message. "Bleeding for Allah" goes the full distance in detailing
the uncomfortable and painful truth of that message.
Although touted as a peaceful religion and Islamic terrorists
dismissed as misguided fanatics, it is clear that the very words of
Allah, as voiced through the Archangel Gabriel to the Prophet
Muhammad, are anything but peaceful. Markus Aurelius, in concise and
clear fashion, gives countless examples of Koranic verse that readily
demonstrates its militancy and violence.
The author speaks to cultural bias and is quite sensitive to its
influence on interpretation. But the author finds it extremely
difficult to dismiss countless holy verse such as: "Believers, take
neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends." (Koran, 5:51)
or: "Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and deal
sternly with them." (Koran, 66:9).
To further try to eliminate cultural bias, the book includes a
comparative analysis of specific words between the New Testament and
the Koran. For example, the words "punishment" and "torture" appear
600% more in the Koran while the word "love" appears 500% less.
The author carefully examines the Prophet Muhammad’s life and
outlines the gruesome details of his explosive success in the 7th
century. The shrewd Prophet creatively found divine support from Allah
for his banditry and mass murder. Sadly, more than one billion people
believe those words today.
Americans are woefully in the dark regarding the Koran. But few
Americans have taken the time to read the Koran itself. Markus
Aurelius challenges the American public to do just that. "Bleeding for
Allah" is the perfect primer.

$38.52MLN WORTH PROGRAM ON RETURN OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED PEOPLE STARTS IN ARMENIA

ARKA
Oct 3, 2008

YEREVAN, October 3. /ARKA/. A three-year program on return of
internally displaced people (from borderland) to their homes is to be
implemented in Armenia in 2008-2010. Appropriations for the program
total $38.52mln, Head of Migration Agency of Armenian Territorial
Administration Ministry Gagik Yeganyan said.

The program is to reduce migration within the country and help native
population of the border area return to permanent residence, Yeganyan
told a press conference.

According to the results of a study conducted by Armenia’s Migration
Service together with Norwegian Refugees’ Council, 26,044 people
left Armenia and 21,270 people moved to other places within the
country as a result of bombardments of 186 Armenian villages at the
border with Azerbaijan during the military operations in 1992-1994,
Yeganyan reported.

"We had interviews with 18,091 people and found out that 9,604 of them
would return to their place of residence on their own, whereas 2,604
people (or 1,005 families) clearly stated that they would return home
if appropriate conditions are provided to them," Yeganyan said.

Under the first component of the program, support is to be provided
to an annual of 330 families in returning home. Each family is to get
$600 for establishing a farm and buying cattle, seeds, agricultural
equipment, as well as=2 0a one-time allowance of $105. Transport
costs to be covered are $45 per every member of a family, he added.

Under the second component, partly or completely ruined houses and
apartments of the borderland are to be rehabilitated. Allocations
for 16,433 partly destroyed houses are $1,500 per house or
apartment. $7,700 is to be provided for rehabilitation of each of
completely ruined 1,694 apartments, Yeganyan said.

He also reported that $825,000 is to be spent on settlement of
the territories and $37.7mln for rehabilitation of houses. Under
a government decree, clear instructions are given to respective
government agencies to start seeking for international donors,
Yeganyan said.

JOHN MCCAIN URGED ARMENIAN AMERICANS TO SUPPORT HIS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN

DeFacto Agency

Armenia

YEREVAN, 01.10.08. DE FACTO. On September 29 Senator John McCain issued
an open letter to Armenian American voters, seeking their support for
his presidential campaign, but failing to outline his stands on core
Armenian American issues, reported the Armenian National Committee
of America (ANCA).

The letter, released by the McCain-Palin campaign, echoed the
same themes as Senator McCain’s correspondence this February to
the ANCA. Using nearly identical language, the Arizona Senator
praised the Armenian American contribution to American society,
and Armenia’s contribution to Coalition operations in Iraq and NATO
peacekeeping in Kosovo. While remaining silent on Nagorno-Karabagh,
the Turkish and Azerbaijani blockades, U.S. aid to Armenia, and the
broader issue of U.S.-Armenia relations, he did, in euphemistic
language typically employed by the Administration, mention the
"terrible tragedy" suffered by the Armenians, although, notably,
without using the proper term genocide or even mentioning the Ottoman
Empire or the Republic of Turkey.

"We hoped that, during the course of the campaign, Senator McCain’s
outreach to Armenian American voters will have evolved beyond the
respectful but substantially non-policy oriented letter he had sent to
us earlier this year, by outlining his positions on our community’s
core issues," said ANCA Executive Director Aram Hamparian. "Armenian
Americans are issue voters, and look to the candidates seeking their
support to be clear about their views and values – particularly
on issues related to the Armenian Genocide, Nagorno-Karabagh, the
strengthening of Armenia, and the growth of U.S.-Armenia relations."

It should be added that Senator McCain has, throughout his tenure in
the Congress, largely opposed or was passively indifferent to a broad
array of Armenian American issues. As recently as October of last
year, Senator McCain publicly opposed Congressional recognition of
the Armenian Genocide. In 1999, he voted against restricting U.S. aid
to Azerbaijan over its blockades and other offensive uses of force
against Armenia and Nagorno-Karabagh. He voted against Senator Bob
Dole’s Armenian Genocide Resolution in 1990.

ArmInfo. Presidents of Armenia and Georgia Serzh Sargsyan and
Mikheil Saakashvili stood for peaceful development of the region,
the presidents said during yesterday’s joint briefing in Tbilisi,
‘Hayastani Hanrapetutyun’ newspaper reports.

‘I am sure that solution of the existing problems through military
interference is impossible. All of us understand that Caucasus takes a
small place on the map, however, it is of significant importance. There
are great interests with regard to Caucasus and we must do our best to
use these interests to the benefit of our peoples. We should assess
our relationship anew and make efforts to more improve them. I am
sure we shall be useful for each other’, S. Sargsyan said.

For his part, M. Saakashvili said that the latest events in Georgia
have clearly shown how much important the cooperation cooperation
is, how much everybody suffers from the problems and conflicts
and how much important it is not to delay solution of these issues
for other generations. ‘I am sure that the future of the Caucasus
lay is in creation of a common market, common human, cultural and
economic spheres and close cooperation with other countries of the
region. Naturally, before achieving this, we have to solve the existing
problems and I am sure they are solvable", he said.

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, NOYAN TAPAN. On September 29 Armenian President
Serzh Sargsyan received Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, the
diocesan heads of the Armenian Apostolic Church, His All-Holiness,
the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew I who arrived
in Armenia to participate in the Blessing of the Holy Muron, and
the representatives of the sister churches of the Armenian Apostolic
Church, NT was informed by the RA presidential press service.

S. Sargsyan underlined the importance of the role that clergy play in
the preservation of peace and moral values and in the struggle against
disillusionment, demoralization and temptations as there are a lot
of temptations in modern world. In his words, extreme fanaticism on
the one hand and denial of God on the other hand are dangerous to the
world, and these dangers are ruinous first of all for small nations.

His Holiness thanked the representatives of the sister churches for
their participation in the Blessing of the Holy Muron.

The head of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Oriental Churches
Leonardo Cardinal Sandri on behalf of Pope Benedict XVI wished the
Armenian people peace and prosperity. He said that the enthusiasm
with which people attended the Blessing of the Holy Muron shows the
Armenian people’s exceptional devotion to church.
