NAMUR. – An event organized by Turkish nationalists was banned in
Namur, Belgium. The leader of the National Movement Party Devlet
Bahceli was also going to be present at the event.

As the Belgian La Meuse reports, the meeting was to be held on May
20 at Namur Expo Center. Criticism, especially from the Armenian
community, concerned mainly the presence of Turkish nationalist
Devlet Bahceli. As the leader of the Grey Wolves and the Turkish
Nationalist Movement Party, the far-right politician is also talking
about himself abroad because of allegations of denial of the Armenian
Genocide. The organizer of the event – The Turkish Federation of
Belgium – is considered to be a branch of the Grey Wolves.

INFERTILITY NEARS 20% IN ARMENIA – SEXOLOGIST

May 10, 2012 | 12:39

YEREVAN. – Infertility rate in Armenia has become more widespread
among men and women alike, sexologist Vrezh Shahramanyan said during
a press conference on Thursday.

As per Shahramanyan, the World Health Organization states that a
country where infertility rate exceeds fifteen percent faces a very
serious disaster.

“And infertility rate in Armenia has passed fifteen percent and nears
twenty percent,” the sexologist noted.

In line with studies, men and women equally share the causes for
infertility in Armenia.

“We need to uproot from the [people’s] mindset the principle that
solely the women must be examined in case of infertility; they both
must be examined equally,” Shahramanyan said.

According to the sexologist, infertility has become a social-medical
and nationwide problem in Armenia, and it affects the country’s
demographics.

In Vrezh Shahramanyan’s words, one in every four cases infertility
becomes grounds for divorce in Armenia.

Also, he underscored the need for the Armenian state to carry out
“educational activities” so that people would undergo a checkup at
least one a year and be knowledgeable on sexual matters.

manifestations pacifiques contre le gouvernement au printemps 2011 ;

never blossomed : Freedoms suppressed in Azerbaijan.

Rule of Law Demands Money Back

Story from Lragir.am News:

Published: 18:47:47 – 08/05/2012

We have learned that the Rule of Law Party demands back the money
which they had disbursed to the heads of their headquarters in Ararat
region. They gave 18,000,000 drams each to ensure the required number
of votes. However, the Rule of Law received almost no votes, and they
doubt that the headquarter heads had simply pocketed the money.

According to witnesses, when voters demanded the money from one of the
heads of Rule of Law headquarters, he waved the pack of money and
said, `You ate the marmalade, I will give the money after voting.’

We have learned that the representatives of the Rule of Law are
checking the voters’ lists to find out what has happened. The Rule of
Law was rumored to have provided 30,000 drams per voter.
