YEREVAN, APRIL 11, ARMENPRESS: Through her article titled “Walking
around Armenian masters of 1908” Turkish reporter Beyza Kural has
visited Armenian settlements of Anatolia in the 20th century, when
the Armenian Genocide wasn’t yet committed. As reports Armenpress,
referring to Bianet.org, Turkish journalist tells about Armenian
masters in Bursa, Izmir, Samsun, Trabzon, Kars, Diyarbakir, Van,
Erzurum and other settlements.

“It is the beginning of 20th century. I am preparing an article about
Armenians of 1908 in Anatolia. Touring from city to city. There are
churches, schools, orphanages along with factories of tobacco, silk,
carpet, diamond in my list,” this is how Kural starts. She tells
about the important role of Armenians in all these factories.

She tells about her imaginary visit to the diamond factory of Minasyans
in Bursa. Izmir is the next stop. “I am moving towards the pupils
of Armenian elementary school. I meet an Armenia whom I have known
for a year, after our meeting in Armenian Church. Passing by I find
the note of R.H. Nigosoyan which reads “Returned from my three-month
military service”,” writes the author.

Number of Armenians in Trabzon supported the journalist to write
her article.

“After the long way I am planning to have a rest in Burukada Island.

There is an Armenian song on my mind, along with the people whom a
talked to and the ways I passed,” concluded the Turkish journalist.

Raffi Hovhannisian Did Not Commit Political Suicide – Ex-Candidate

RAFFI HOVHANNISIAN DID NOT COMMIT POLITICAL SUICIDE – EX-CANDIDATE

14:36 ~U 10.04.13

Former presidential candidate Andrias Ghukasyan says he doesn’t agree
to the existing opinion that the opposition Heritage party’s leader
put an end to his political career after the Tuesday rally.

“[Raffi] Hovhannisian’s political plan for going to Moscow to meet with
[President Vladimir] Putin was not convincing, of course. I cannot
share such a political program because I am principally against
the idea of involving other states in the solution of political
problems in our country,” the politician told Tert.am, commenting on
a remark voiced by Tigran Khzmalyan, a film director and an activist
of the Sardarapat Group, who described Hovhannisian’s behavior as a
political suicide.

Speaking to the Armenian news website Haynews.am, the activist
said Hovhannisian’s choice to lead his struggle alone marked the
tragic end of his political career. “Raffi Hovhannisian committed
a political suicide in front of our eyes and it really grieves me,”
said the activist.

At yesterday’s rally in Yerevan’s Liberty Square, Hovhannisian said
he would leave for Moscow on Wednesday morning to meet with President
Putin. But comments from the Heritage party’s members earlier today
suggested that their leader is still in Armenia.

Asked about the police operations at the Tuesday rally, Ghukasyan noted
that the police officers accompanying the protesters demonstrated a
sensible approach. He said the 7,000 policemen accompanying a crowd
of about 3,000 people would have resorted to force had they seen the
situation was going much beyond control.

Ruben Hakhverdyan: Sargsyan Had Absent Glance

RUBEN HAKHVERDYAN: SARGSYAN HAD ABSENT GLANCE

02:40 PM | TODAY | POLITICS

Renowned singer Ruben Hakhverdyan says he is not disappointed with
opposition leader Raffi Hovannisian. However, he thinks that the
leader of the opposition Heritage party [Raffi Hovannisian] should
not have marched to the Genocide Memorial on Tsitsernakaberd hilltop
on April 9 to conduct a vigil there.

“If people finally got disappointed with Hovannisian, we can find
other leaders. We have many well-prepared fellows, for example Zhirayr
Sefilyan,” the composers told reporters on April 10.

Hakhverdyan says people are following the Heritage party leader as
they are against the acting authorities led by Serzh Sargsyan.

“Emigration is escalating day by day. People are not running from
hunger, they are running from this stinky regime. People follow Raffi
because he is a decent and honest person who did not clinch any deal
with authorities,” he said.

The singer says Serzh Sargsyan’s inauguration was a funny
performance. “When I was watching the ceremony on TV I noticed his
absent glance…,” Hakhverdyan said adding that he could not get
a wink of sleep at night as he was thinking of ways to get out of
this situation.

However, he was unable to find a solution to the political crisis.

Today Armenia’s National Assembly continued to discuss the report
“The activities of the Ombudsman and the violations of basic rights
and fundamental freedoms in 2011.”

Secretary of the “Heritage” party Zaruhi Postanjyan delivered a
speech. She appealed to yesterday’s events on Baghramyan Avenue.

“Yesterday, we, the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, broke all
ties with the illegal authorities, we announced that we would not
recognize the false leaders, announced that we would not obey the laws
of false and illegal orders. We do not fear, we’ll not back down and
we are not for sale”, Postanjyan said.

Postanjyan also noted that yesterday on Baghramyan Avenue police used
force against the marchers. “We condemn these actions. You can only
congratulate us, that there were no victims. Serzh Sargsyan, being
in the presidential residence, ordered to use force against us”,
Postanjyan concluded.

HRAPARAK: ARMENIAN DIASPORA INTERESTED IN ARMENIA’S DEMOCRATIC DEVELOPMENT

11:22 ~U 11.04.13

Ara Gochunyan, Editor of the Istanbul-based Zhamanak newspaper, which
is playing an active role in the local Armenian community’s life,
was on the invitation list at Serzh Sargsyan’s inauguration ceremony.

The newspaper turned to his for explanations for his presence at the
inauguration given the fact that the Armenian Diaspora is supporting
Raffi Hovannisian.

“Diasporic Armenians need a more moderate view of the domestic
political struggle in Armenia. The Armenian Diaspora is interested
in Armenia’s democratic development. We can point out progress, but
Diasporic Armenians attach high importance to further democratization
and development of Armenian statehood.”

president azerbaïdjanais Ilham Aliyev a Bakou.

Violents Affrontements Entre Etudiants Kurdes Et Islamistes A Diyarb

majorite kurde. Ce phenomène s’est recemment reduit.

Ex-CNN Reporter: I Received Orders To Manipulate News To Demonize Sy

EX-CNN REPORTER: I RECEIVED ORDERS TO MANIPULATE NEWS TO DEMONIZE SYRIA AND IRAN

Mar 30, 2013

PRAGUE, (SANA)- Ex-CNN reporter Amber Lyon revealed that during her
work for the channel she received orders to send false news and exclude
some others which the US administration did not favor with the aim
to create a public opinion in favor of launching an aggression on
Iran and Syria.

Lyon was quoted by the Slovak main news website as saying that the
mainstream US media outlets intentionally work to create a propaganda
against Iran to garner public opinion’s support for a military invasion
against it.

She revealed that the scenario used before launching the war on Iraq
is being prepared to be repeated where Iran and Syria are now being
subject to constant ‘demonization’.

The former reporter clarified that the CNN channel manipulates and
fabricates news and follows selectiveness when broadcasting news,
stressing that the Channel receives money from the U.S. government
and other countries’ governments in exchange for news content.
