May 3, 2011 – 10:09 AMT

The Defense Ministry of the Artsakh Republic commented on the statement
by Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s spokesman Eldar Sabiruglu, who
alleged that the Armenian servicemen were killed not by Azeri snipers
but as result of a skirmish inside the military unit.

“Such statements are a brazen lie. Sabiroglu seems to have confused
the incidents taking place in his own army. Armenian servicemen
were killed by sniper fire,” Artsakh Defense Ministry’s spokesman,
colonel Senor Hasratyan said.

“Azerbaijan will be given an adequate response for the ongoing
violations of ceasefire and provocative acts. It will live in fear,”
he added.

As a result of Azerbaijani firing, an NKR soldier was wounded and died
on the way to hospital on April 28. On the next day, two servicemen
were killed by snipers.

EXPERT: HERITAGE, ARFD HAVE SLIM CHANCES FOR VICTORY AT PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION

PanARMENIAN.Net
May 3, 2011 – 12:58 AMT

Armenian political expert Armen Aghayan expressed doubts over the
chances of opposition Heritage and ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) parties
at future parliament elections.

As he noted at a news conference in Yerevan, were the elections held
at present, Heritage and ARFD would gain a maximum of 6-8%, which
wouldn’t be enough to make it to the National Assembly. According to
Aghayan, the parties in question must take serious steps to increase
their ranking.

At the same time, the expert expressed confidence over the chances of
ruling coalition parties and Armenian National Congress for victory
at parliament elections.
